3,003 Steps to Linabo Peak

I have been travelling since I was a child and wanted to share some of my experience with places which I could say worth sharing also. Why share? I really don’t have any reasons, just wanted to write something which could be of help to fellow explorers out there. However, writing was never my forte and so every time I tried to start one I find myself in the midst of overwhelmingly free-flowing ideas. I could hardly write a piece but this time I had to deal with this mental arduousness by composing something from my climb to the 3,003 steps of Linabo Peak and a bit side trip with Dapitan City and the boulevard of Dipolog City.

I am currently based at Pagadian City. It’s about 190.00 pesos ride from Pagadian City to Dipolog City with the Rural Transit bus for a regular fare and 155.00 for discounted rate. From the bus terminal, one could hire a tricycle or a habal-habal which would cost you around 30.00 to 50.00 pesos depending on your negotiation skills. The climb to Linabo Peak must be started as earlier as possible and the more the merrier. Usually on Maunday Thursday and Good Friday there are many people who will be trekking. Some are devotees others are just doing it for fun.

This is the start of a path which is not yet developed right after you pass by the school.

If you want to proceed to Dapitan City for another fun-filled activities at Gloria de Dapitan's Fantasy Land it is about a 20 minute ride from Dipolog City bus terminal and a 25.00 peso ride with the Evergood Transit if you are commuting. You could also stroll around the Rizal Shrine where our national hero was exiled if you still have some energy left after the climb to Linabo Peak.

You may end you adventure with a relaxing sunset viewing at Dipolog City's boulevard and dine at some of the affordable food stalls.
